Who I Work With

I provide trauma-informed attachment therapy for adults (18+) and couples in Colorado experiencing:

  • Relationship patterns that feel stuck or repetitive
  • Attachment challenges including anxious, avoidant, or disorganized patterns
  • Anxiety and depression rooted in early experiences
  • Trauma affecting relationships and daily life
  • Couples challenges including communication, trust, and intimacy
  • Perfectionism and performance anxiety
  • Life transitions including career changes, divorce, or major decisions
  • Emotional regulation difficulties

My clients are often high-achieving, self-reflective individuals seeking more than symptom management – curious about themselves, willing to explore root patterns, and ready for meaningful change.

I offer LGBTQ+-affirming, culturally responsive, neurodivergent-friendly therapy that honors your full identity.

Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, I provide superbills (detailed receipts) you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Many insurance plans reimburse 50-80% of out-of-network therapy costs. I recommend contacting your insurance to verify your out-of-network mental health benefits before beginning therapy.

Telehealth Sessions: Secure, Convenient, Effective

I provide therapy via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth to Colorado residents statewide. Video sessions eliminate commute time, expand access regardless of location, and allow you to attend therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

Research shows telehealth therapy is equally effective for most concerns – and for many clients, the convenience and privacy enhance the therapeutic experience.

What You’ll Need for Telehealth Sessions:

  • Reliable internet connection – Video quality matters for effective therapy
  • Private, confidential space – Free from interruptions during sessions
  • Computer, tablet, or smartphone – Most devices work; computer or tablet recommended for optimal experience
  • Quiet environment – Headphones can help ensure confidentiality

Technical Support

I use SimplePractice video, a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You’ll receive a link before your session – no software download required (or specify if download needed).

If you experience technical difficulties, we’ll troubleshoot together or switch to phone if necessary.

Important:

You must be physically located in Colorado during all therapy sessions to comply with licensure requirements. I cannot provide therapy to clients located outside Colorado, even temporarily.

Serving: Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and all Colorado communities.

Frequently Asked Questions

If we determine we’re a good fit and I have availability, we’ll schedule your first full therapy session (50-75 minutes depending on individual or couples therapy). You’ll complete brief intake paperwork online before the session, and we’ll begin exploring your goals and patterns together.

If we’re not a good fit, I’ll do my best to provide referrals to other therapists who might better serve your needs.

Current availability: 2-3 weeks for new client initial sessions after consultation. If you need sooner support, I can provide referrals to therapists with earlier openings.

I’m an out-of-network provider. I provide superbills for insurance reimbursement but do not bill insurance directly. Many clients receive 50-80% reimbursement from their insurance plans – check your out-of-network mental health benefits before booking.

Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice are charged the full session fee. Cancellations with 24+ hours notice are not charged. This policy ensures availability for all clients and respects time reserved for your care.

Therapy length varies based on your goals and progress. Some clients benefit from short-term work (3-6 months), while others engage in longer-term therapy (6-18 months or more). We’ll regularly review progress and adjust as needed – you’re never locked into a specific timeline.

No. Colorado licensure requires you to be physically located in Colorado during all sessions. I cannot provide therapy to clients located outside Colorado, even temporarily. If you travel frequently or live part-time outside Colorado, please discuss this during consultation.

I do not provide crisis intervention services. If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or are in immediate danger:

  • Call 911
  • Contact Colorado Crisis Services: 1-844-493-8255 (24/7)
  • Text HOME to 741-741 (Crisis Text Line)
  • Go to your nearest emergency room

Therapy is for ongoing mental health support, not emergency situations.

Yes. Everything discussed in therapy is confidential, with specific exceptions required by law:

  • Risk of harm to yourself or others
  • Suspected child or elder abuse/neglect
  • Court-ordered disclosure

I follow HIPAA privacy standards and use secure, encrypted communication platforms for all sessions.

Limited evening and weekend appointments are available based on current caseload. Scheduling flexibility may vary – discuss your availability needs during consultation.
